Overview

RedWood County RP is a whitelist FiveM roleplay community. We built redwoodcountyrp.com for it: an atmospheric website with rules, server info, a newswire and media — plus member accounts with Discord, Steam and Cfx.re sign-in, and digital desks for whitelist applications and ban appeals.

Client & situation

RedWood County RolePlay (“RWCRP”) is a roleplay community on FiveM, the multiplayer platform for GTA V on PC. The setting is a fictional wilderness county in the USA; in its own words, the community favours slow, character-driven roleplay over arena-style action.

The server is whitelist-only and 18+: players create an account, link Discord and Steam and submit a character application that staff review by hand. On top of that come published rules, a ban-appeal process and regular announcements to the community.

Those workflows need a platform of their own: a public presence with a clear identity, backed by accounts, forms and statuses the team can rely on.

Goal

The RedWood County RP website needed to:

  • Give the community a distinctive identity that fits the server's wilderness setting.
  • Guide new players clearly through rules, requirements and the application.
  • Tie accounts to the identities that matter in FiveM: Discord, Steam and Cfx.re.
  • Capture whitelist applications and ban appeals in a structured way so staff can decide transparently.
  • Bring announcements, media and videos together in one place — in multiple languages.

What we built

According to the site footer, redwoodcountyrp.com is “created and powered by vexorisdev.com”. Public pages, sign-in and forms work together; member and staff areas are not public and therefore not part of this case study.

03 · Whitelist & appeals

Digital desks for applications and appeals

redwoodcountyrp.com/apply · /appeals

Applications and appeals are guided flows in three stations. Staff read every submission; decisions and notes land with the applicant.

Features

  • Whitelist application: sign in, describe the character, wait for staff review
  • Accepted players receive connect information and a Discord role
  • If denied, the reason appears in the applicant dashboard and by email, followed by a cooldown (seven days by default)
  • Two-step appeal form with Discord handle, SteamID64, an account of what happened (40 characters minimum) and evidence
  • Appeals can be filed without an account; one active appeal at a time

Tech stack

  • Next.jsFoundation of the website
  • VercelWebsite hosting
  • Vexoris Auth SystemAccounts and sign-in
  • Cloudflare R2Image and media storage
  • Discord, Steam, Cfx.reLinked sign-in providers

What sets it apart

  • A distinct identity

Home page, imagery and copy carry the server's wilderness setting — from the rulebook to the shop.

  • Whitelist first

Access to the live world requires an accepted application. The site guides players there step by step.

  • One account, several identities

Discord, Steam and Cfx.re hang off one account so staff can match players unambiguously.

  • Transparent decisions

Reasons, cooldowns and a clear appeal process are described publicly and built into the system.

  • Announcements in one place

The newswire gathers announcements, world updates and recruitment; per the announcement, posts also appear in the RWCRP Launcher.

  • Multilingual

The interface offers a choice of 13 languages and detects the browser language.

The website is live; according to a note on the site, it is still being developed further.
